Hi Keith, I'm in for sure. Permitting the car tomorrow and will do a shake down run.
I've been texting with both Glen (bright red 2dr from Maple Ridge) and Alveen will join us in his 720.

Looks to be a good size crew.

Morning World!

As I thought, it is a bit foggy here this morning, now that it has cleared off, but the road looks to be dry at any rate. It is a bit foggy scattered here and there, even looking at some in Princeton right now. Temp is 1C at the Allison pass weather station but it looks dry so we should NOT have to worry about frost.

Do dress warmly, at least for the first part of the trip, temps are predicted to be 19 - 22C in Merritt by the time we get there.

Our OFFICIAL meet time is at 7:00 AM at the Chevron, with a LEAVE time of 7:30. That will get us up to the top of the lookout with the sun cracking the far ridges, so the morning colour should be nice for photos. Leave yourself enough time to fuel up. I think I am even going to top up there, as I don't want to finish the drive with pump gas in my tank.

Yes, this will be a fuel economy run....ha...ha....we will trade mileage for sure, should be fun.

It is looking to be a nice large group, bigger than we have had for years, that will make for some great pictures!

James, I am bringing car home today, my van is ready.

Confirmed:

Keith
James
Norm
Dean
Richard
Mike & co-pilot
Cam
Ron & Is
Byron
Glen
Alveen...I have a neat picture for him

Wow it looks like 12 of us. I'lll be pulling out at just after 5. A quick topost up and coffee at chevron and then hitting the hwy. I've already adjusted my tire pressures a bit higher to see if that improves my mileage.

Keith, if we do the Aspen Grove leg back into Merritt for lunch, and to Hope over the Coke, I will drop off the Hwy just before Hope at the Kawkawa Lk. turn off and head into the KVR Othello tunnels park.
One of my 2 exchange students has decided to join me for the drive, so I think I'll show her the Tunnels to break up the trip on the way back as she loves scenery - and there is plenty of it on a short 30 minute hike through the tunnels on that little bit of preserved Kettle Valley Rail line. For those that have never been to the area, it's very spectacular.
Going to get and do a shakedown run on the Bronze shortly.

I have just finished throwing some tools in the trunk, window cleaner and some fuel to top up the tank in White Rock. I will top up the main tank in Princeton and burn up the mix on the return.

Lets hope the wind stays up a bit and that will keep the AM fog away!

Since this has turned into a hypermiling event I inflated all my tires to 55PSI and installed 3 super turbulator airflow interuptors on my triple Webers. Guy at Lordco promised 65MPG

See ya'll tomorrow morning.

If I wanted to hypermedia I would drive the leaf. My car likes to be at full throttle and my foot like to oblige it. I'm hopefully that I will need to take the cover off the new oil cooler Inlet at some point.

My windows are clean, water bottle and camel pack are full. Wrenches are in the trunk and defroster is back in the car. I'm ready to spend a day in the drivers seat.
