Re: Gold digger

Haven't updated in a while. Unfortunately I dont have any new photos. Cars going to Justins shop up in Modesto CA to get professionally wired. I tried with the help of a bud but I wasn't happy with the end result. Let alone all the issue's we were having. So next update it will be running. I did upgrade the CV axles to driveshaft shops new CV for STI diff. That led to having the rear section of the exhaust being modified to clear the new CV. I still have no rear brakes. I ordered T3's Micro big brake upgrade for the rear in Feb. and I just got notified I will be getting them in two weeks. Sheesh I've been waiting for ever lol. I upgraded the fuel systems fuels lines from push lock rubber hose to PTFE hose. Changed them out at the tank to the SS lines. Then from there to the fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator. I also rerouted the return line from the fuel rail to make it cleaner. Then I put a new set of Nismo 550cc injectors which actually flow at 615. I also installed Troys new rear sway bar. Its basically the a copy of the quicker bar. But the brackets are laser cut and fit much better than the original one I had. The original one use to hit my wheels. Troys cleared the wheels with a little finessing. Still haven't installed T3 front sway bar either. progress has been slow but steady.

Sounds like good progress. Lots of ticks in the boxes of the to-do list! Keep it up!

I would agree...an oversteering 510 is a recipe for buying a concrete barrier.

Well I got my T3 Micro big brake upgrade with the e-brake function in yesterday. Despite all the missing parts they forgot. I will not be able to use the e-brake function after all. The caliper fits great. The problem is where the E-brake attachment is it make contact with the actual Wheel face nuts. Just like my old Willwood did. Unfortunately I cant shave it down as T3 suggests, The cable mounted on to it makes it stick out even further. So I will have to look for a different alternative for e-brake function. T3 is gonna swap these with the same caliper just no e-brake function. Heres a photo of the caliper and a photo of where it makes contact with the face bolts. Thought I would share my findings. Im sure it will work with other wheels just not mine. :(

im actually doing the same on Fatsun now-- using a switch pros 9100 canbus controller and building the harness from scratch with OE ends (vintage connections in oregon) and Deutsch connectors - almost done-- i did my own with stock datsun switches and resettable breakers so no fuse box needed. maybe il post some pics of that later today..

Nice please post. Yea the shop thats wiring mine will be using Deutsch connectors on my car as well. The switch pros is a bad ass unit. I really wanted to implement one of those in my build. Unfortunately it didn't happend. This harness is being built from scratch also. Cant wait for Saturday so I can drop of the car.

Here's a shot of the car at Justins shop in Modesto. Dropped it of this past Saturday. Glad its getting wired professionally now. I can have some piece of mind moving forward. As soon as the wiring is done we will do a first start. I have to figure out how to post video on here for that. Here's a photo of the engine bay for shits and giggles. still have to make a heat shield for the MC and run the catch can lines. Car will also have the back section of the exhaust modified for more clearance. As of right now I have the muffler spaced down to give the pipe enough from to clear the CV axles. I can barley get a piece of paper between the exhaust pipe and new CV's. To close for comfort.
