Aftermarket KA24DE Timing Covers...

Post by JLsKA »

Prepairing for my KA rebuild... Since Nissan stopped production of the front timing cover, has anyone had any luck with these brands:
SMP (from Concept Z Performance)
MOCA
Evergreen
ITM
DNJ/rock
SKP

Or is refurbishing my old cover and using the available Nissan parts a better alternative?
Thanks!

Wrecking yards are full of D21 Hardbodys, S13/14 cars and the Xterra truck. The DE was last used in the 2016 Frontier. Over 25 years in production. ALL rwd. I don't know if the timing cover was changed but that was only 4 years ago. Nissan should still have some in parts inventory.

Every Nissan parts site I've checked lists the S13 KA24DE Timing Cover as discontinued.

ive got a couple spares here but since your in cali call dave - (rebello) i would think hes had a ton of cores - and race cars generally dont replace the cover-- like mine has a crank trigger mount on it..
