Question for you ( or anyone else in the know) does the NOS rockers that you put on yours have a “step” where the quarter panel wraps over the top of the rocker? I’ve got reproduction ones and they are just straight through?
I used the muscle car gt ones that are easily available on Ebay, yahoo etc and via various resellers like Al's, futo etc that were made to fit my coupe. They're not the same as the OEM ones and in hindsight I wish I kept more of the original metal and just replaced the rotten parts instead of the entire rocker. Mine were straight through but my fab guy made them fit:

After some advice on this rail repair.
Any one thats attempted this, am I better off trying to graft a whole new rail in, or cut out only the rust affected section and re join a good one?? Bearing in mind that I am replacing the front frame rail and rad support panel at the same time..

New tail panel only fits standard lights, so lots of cutting and Hammer/ Dolly work in this..

A bit more. Before, during and after. Left the welds there as will be covered by rocker.
