What day...I am assuming Friday or Sunday...just to be clear. I got my insurance today but will maybe catch the next one!
i would like a list if anyone has it for any of the coffee meets, really going to hit some this season.

Re: Cars & Coffee Steveston
Let me know if/where your going next week, I will try to make something...seems like a long time what with Covid.
Langley is close for me and a nice drive on the back roads, days are long so that is good. I have at least 3 tanks of Avgas so I'm good for some time.

Re: Cars & Coffee Steveston
I think I might hit that really early, then leave before it gets too busy and too hot.
Nice drive to Steveston would be fun, minimal traffic corridor, might drop down #5 road to the River and come in the back way.

In the 60's, Finn Road was our drag strip, away from anything!

Re: Cars & Coffee Steveston
Thanks for the heads up on the speed bumps, forgot about those. I don't get that way too often. Last time was riding my mountain bike from 5 Road to Steveston and of course you miss that section of road on a bike, the trail runs along the packaging plant fence then back onto the dyke.

Re: Cars & Coffee Steveston
Like most of you, unless you had air conditioning, last night was a bear for heat!!! I could not get my place below 83F
( 28+C)all night.
So, I was a bit late getting going, firing up the car at 6:00 Am, temp was perfect at that time but you could tell it was heading up fast. Hwy #99 was pretty quiet, coming upon a Chevy 2 with some sort of built motor, but it smelled really rich.
Sure enough as we started the exit corner, it seemed to run rough and I could tell it was missing and farting as we went over the overpass. He pulled off and did not show up for some time at the show.
As I was going down Steveston Hwy a Lamborghini Countach 5000 came along side me. I ended up going ahead and as I started to park my car I looked in my mirror, this women came out of a parking slot and LITERALLY came within 1" of hitting the passenger door on the Lambo!!!! According to few of the guys there she had been ranting and raving for over half an hour about cars and the environment ( lost on her that she was driving one)
Not many people there yet, I grabbed a spot next to a curb and left some good 'door" room. Soon, along came Kent in that very cool Datsun 1000 sport. Then came Ritchie, with that 2 dr sedan with zip for miles, from Victoria, nice to meet him. What a clean car!!!
Another bevy of Detroit Iron came, a nice MGB, and early Volks, then some very expensive exotics. A nice "widow" maker Porsche came in and some "tuner" cars.
It was nice and quiet, everyone minded their manners. Thank goodness for the bit of breeze off the Fraser, as by 9 AM it was getting very hot. I had GREAT response to my car actually, quite surprised.
I wanted to hit the road by 9:30, trying to beat the heat back in South Surrey, where the sidewalk cracked and lifted yesterday in front of my Daughters place.
Back in the garage, it was 30 C. out and smok'in hot.
Till next weekend.
I could tell it was hot, not too often I see my water temp totally nudging 170. I elected to not use any boost, motor did not need any more thermal load. Not many people travelling, at least this morning, too hot to go...where? Even the White Rock beach was not as loaded as I thought it would be yesterday.
