Rockauto sells cables cheap. You want one for an auto. They usually include the length in the description. Buy the longest you can.
Just looked and it was tricky to find. It's listed under intieor.
I'm pretty sure the 70 inch is long enough.

I buy the 510 one. The tranny end is the same in both. Not in so sure about the Speedo end on the zx.

Un-clip and pull the 510 cable up into the engine compartment. Now feed it down behind the head and diagonally over the top of the 5 speed to the right rear. It will fit. I had the same 26" 4 speed with the speedometer pinion on the driver's side in my 710. I put a 31.5" long zx 5 speed in and it fits comfortably. It has to reach 5.5" farther and over to the other side but it works fine.

The transmission ends are all the same, although the pinion bodies vary, and remained the same till early '90s when they switched to the electronic sensors. You can still pull the electronic pinions out and put the mechanical pinions in that drive a cable on the later transmissions.

The Roadster, 521, 510, 610, 710, 810, 1200, B-210, 210, F10/310, Z and ZX cars, 620, S10, A10 dash ends screw on to the meter. New vehicles from '80 and on like the 720, S110 200sx and the Maxima have a clip that attaches to the gauge. It's push on and pinch a lever to release. The zx and 810 that spanned '80 remained screw on till the next model change.
