You are correct sir. However this might prove interesting with the part #'s and such. I LOVE working parts at a Nissan dealership. I have access to such interesting stuff...

I heard years ago, that the delrin etc kits do not fit the aftermarket repop idler arms, so I have always kept OE USED ones around. I know "555" made a repop, but I never researched WHICH aftermarket did not work with the kits...............
My delrin modded one was a Moog. I have no idea whose delrin kit I used but it fit fine. Too bad the ball joint end wore out...

It does. Thank you!

Apparently there was a second part # added for a wagon idler arm that was never adopted to the catalog. This might explain why there is only ever 1 idler arm listed in the aftermarket. Ultimately moot though as none of the factory stuff listed in that TSB is available anymore anyway. Heck the website we use for Nissan parts locations and availability doesn't recognize but 1 pitman arm and 1 idler arm part number at all at this point. Let alone the idler arm # for the wagon.

The idler and the steering box pitman arm match heights. Just easier to show the difference with that side. Go dig in your shed, you will find one of each. Then you can buy me a beer.

Unfortunately I didn't keep a bunch of steering boxes. Wasn't aware of this issue when I started collecting parts. I might have 1 or 2 someplace though.

6 weeks in and STILL no idler arm. I emailed them yesterday about it. We shall see what, if anything, they have to say about it.

I will. I have a crappy aftermarket drop in right now. The delrin one felt so much better... Until the ball joint end crapped out that is.

10 weeks and it's FINALLY here. Dang... Looks nice. The small silver nyloc nut is either wrong or the threads are bunged up a bit as it will NOT thread on to the stud. Easy enough fix. Some pics:

Anyone want/need some measurements or anything BEFORE I install it?
