Leaf Spring To Coilovers Conversion

I have a ongoing idea of switching my 1972 datsun to a coil setup, but wondering if removing the leafs is possible?

Only if there is some kind of advantage to doing so. You'll have to reinforce where the body rests on the spring and provide an axle mount for it. Then the axle needs links and a panhard bar to locate it and keep it in place, these mounting points will need to be reinforced too. I think you're trying to reinvent the wheel.
