Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
I hate to bring more bad news to the headliner topic but back when me and Frank used to do ton's of 510 revivals we found that if you found mice had been in the car at all the lived in the headliner and shit up there. We found that if you tap up on the headliner you can hear the poop bouncing around...

Re: Which Rear Camber And Toe Product?
I did exactly what Grand Mast Keith said on my rigs and it was night and day difference. On our endurance car we ran it to Keith's specs. Since the car only had 125WHP it didn't need quit as much toe in as needed on my turbo autoX rigs. It was easy to adjust the endurance car because I felt what it ...

Re: "Wet Leaf Classic" Mission Race #5 SCCBC
Has Andy done testing with and without the wing on the Miata? The reason I ask is because we race a TON of Miatas. I know enough about aero to know that it's super complex. Normally any Miata with similar power to us goes like this, onto the main straight we pull them till about 65MPH then they kill...

Re: Datsun/Subaru R180- What if?
The R180 in our rig is just set to whatever it is in the box. We did use a R160 LSD for a while, Just the 1989 bolt in unit. It wasn't as good as the R180, maybe because of the clutch size or heat? We thought about building a subaru STI diff but the cost sure adds up quick since you need also need s...

Re: Swamp thing, from drift car to Endure car
Great weekend of racing! Friday practice went well. Only issue was reported by Carter. He missed a shift and had a hard time finding any gears again. We thought maybe it was the slave cylinder getting to hot because it's next to the exhaust. We stole some NASA heat sheild from the Acusump feed line....

Re: Datsun/Subaru R180- What if?
So your plan is to go from a 4.38 to 4.44? We have a Nismo R180 clutch LSD in our endurance 510 racecar. It has a nice breakaway. It's a 4.11 gear, which sucks. We also want to get to 4.44, at our main track it's the best gear ratio. Any lower and you shift more than needed and it cost time. I'm cur...

Re: SR20DET Turbo Oil Drain fitting & JBC Coachwerks R&P Interference
I just take the stock drain and cut it and weld it back together with a 45 in it. I'll see if I can find a picture. Just mark the top before you unscrew it.

Re: HELP! Camber problems.
I'm just saying it's probably bent. You can compare both sides but really I'm sure you just need a new one. Our car was a X circle track car, the arms were bent to turn one way better haha.

Re: HELP! Camber problems.
Control arm is bent. You look at them wrong and they bend. We've bent 3 of them in our racecar. Super light taps and they bend. We have knock off wheels all 3 times the wheel has came out perfect but the arm is bent. I think I have a photo of the worst one and you can see the slight tweak. This is t...

We weighed our L18 that we never ran. It doesn't have carbs but those don't weigh much

Re: Welp.... With the price of SR's I've went to the dark side......
Hmm. Heavier than the SR which is pretty weird. SR has a heavy stock flywheel and heavy stock exhaust manifold. So it's could be even lighter. https://ratsunstorage.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/monthly_2024_07/image0.thumb.jpeg.784593f8c816db159b73ebed5392a0a1.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/Zv8QFQG.jpg
