Re: WTB: Oil Pan

My L18 doesn't have that piece of metal. But mine isn't leaking from that area, its elsewhere. I paid someone good money to cut, extend, weld it and they've made a right mess of it. I think it'll be cheaper to get a replacement sump than to try and get mine re-done.

WTB: Oil Pan

Hello there,

I need a 510 oil pan, one that keeps oil inside.

Any chance someone can post one over here? Comp style would be awesome if they exist still.

Hope everything is okay and glad to hear you're not going anywhere.

Re: JDM Nissan Bluebird Coupe (ex JCCA Race Car)

Still need to figure out the alternator but before that, need to find what is causing this: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52428297022_fff4dda3ae_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52400176623_bab3ce0b16_k.jpg I've removed and re sealed the fuel pump block off, I've checked the torque on...

Byron510 wrote: 01 Oct 2022 07:36 Is the alternator internally or externally regulated?

Byron
Internally. I was told the IC harness (diode) is where the standard regulator would connect.

I have a plan but no time to execute it, and now it is so cold over here I don't want to go into the garage

Anyone know if the alternator will work like that or am I asking for trouble?

Re: JDM Nissan Bluebird Coupe (ex JCCA Race Car)

Had a little rant on the 'what did you do today...' thread, I'll update here. Life has changed a lot in the past 8 years of owning and restoring this car. I've gone from a care free mountain bum in Chamonix, snowboarding, mountain biking hiking and living life to the full to a married, father of one...

Re: What did you do on your 510 today?

I was going to take it for a drive as I had a few hours free in-between life commitments, started up with ease, idled nicely then died and refused to start. No spark. Multimeter battery flat, no d-cells in the house, shops shut. No blown fuses, maybe the ignition module went bad. Very frustrating. A...

I drove mine today. First time ever! I've had it over 8 years now too. Lots to sort but a huge milestone today. It must feel exceptionally good after all this time. I wish it did, it should have but it was more terrifying than anything  I only went up and down the street I live on but the brak...

Man that’s a beauty! Thanks dude! Appreciate the comment. Looks great. You have come a long way. Thank you. I often go back over my 8 years worth of photos and find it a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I'm so close now to finally being able to drive it but it's still a long way off the final vis...
