I agree. I had around 40-50# driving with the original oil pump. Will this higher pressure cause issues?
Oh, and my car is still leaking like crazy. I have no idea where it is coming from at this point. It's the passenger rear of the engine.

Re: Oilpan Replacement Questions
Well, unfortunately, it didn't work. I was able to maneuver the bar out of the way enough to move the pan around quite a bit, though, which allowed me to remove the old gasket, clean the block and pan surfaces and slither a new gasket around the oil pickup in the pan; all without getting it all oily...

Oilpan Replacement Questions
Well, my oil leak saga continues; it's still leaking after the rear main replacement. I bought a new oilpan gasket but it looks as though I need to remove the steering linkage to get the pan down. Is that right?? Has anyone got any tricks to make this easier? I'm a little afraid of damaging the stee...

Re: Am I in over my head? '70 2 door from scratch
Every time I check this thread all I can say is "wow". Everything is done so cleanly and truly looks beautiful. I haven't got much info to contribute but if you want to sit down on a rainy day & fiddle with that trunk lock, here's a video I did on how to take the stainless beauty cap o...

Re: 3D Printing Thread - Look What I 3D Printed
Yes! That roll pin is a bear to get out of there! I did it from the outside of the car. I used a chunk of pool noodle to prop the quarter window open, took a piece of 2x4 & used it to kind of support the bracket while I tapped the pin out with a drift punch. My printed part needs a bit of revisi...

Re: Wanted: Quarter window latch part
Aw, drat! If that's the case I guess I'll just stick with the one I 3D printed then. Really no point in repeatedly hunting down replacements if they just break again. Thanks for the heads up!

Re: 3D Printing Thread - Look What I 3D Printed
One of my quarter window brackets broke last summer & the window flopped for the rest of the season! I'm on the hunt for a replacement piece but until then, I modeled & printed a replacement. Works just fine but not exactly pretty! https://i.postimg.cc/fb0h0tHn/IMG-1783.jpg https://i.postimg...

Re: Simplest Map Light Mod Ever!
Progress update: I wanted the map light to be dimmable. I mean, why not make it 100x more difficult than I have to? Not only that, I decided I'd like the knob to be lit up on the dash. Because torture. Anyhow, this is how I did it. First, I tiptoed into my husband's music studio like the Grinch on C...

Re: Simplest Map Light Mod Ever!
Thanks! I was going to make an SMD array on a mini perfboard and mount it above the mappanel but after a few minutes I figured I MUST be overthinking this. Nautrally, I was. Lol! The little 5050 (I used the natural white color) is pretty perfect. On an aside, does the heater knob just pull straight ...

Simplest Map Light Mod Ever!
I wanted the map light in my car to work for no particular reason other than the panel being there and doing nothing. Here's the simplest map light mod on the planet! And it's 3 bucks! Ready? It's a 12v 5050 SMD stuck to the inside of the bezel above the map light panel. That's it. Wire it to power ...
