Re: red dime on BAT- showing L series is still Loved!
I don't know about happy! A bittersweet moment for me for sure. Nice to get a good number but sad that this chapter in my life is ending. The car was dialed in and solid. Perfect amount of power for the 510 chassis. Driven KA and SR N/A ones and they didn't feel that quick. This 2360cc motor was ama...

Re: FS: Datsun 510 Headlight relay adapter/upgrade
Do these allow you to upgrade your lights to H4s without the increased current load to the stock headlight switch? Plug and play?

Yes! They look great and are very easy to put on. Look like NOS OEM ones.

NorCal Vintage Datsun Meet 2018 - Concord, CA
Just finished having this event for the first time over the weekend and it was a great success! We had almost 70 cars show up during a 100+ degree heat wave. Here is a link to an album with some of our favorite pictures included. https://imgur.com/a/eTts1iU https://i.imgur.com/lug0K4V.jpg https://i....

Re: Muffler selection. Magic solution needed.
I don't know what motor you are running but most L-series below 150hp are fine with a 2" exhaust. Pair that with as long of a resonator that you can find and a Walker Quiet-Flow muffler and you should be happy.

Probably $250-400 for 40s and $400 to $600 for 44s all depending on condition.

Re: Getting Control Arms Back In!
It's a Datsport cross member so has their brackets on it. They recommend Whiteline bushings and the bushings have the steel inner tube for sure. Will try the C-clamp idea on the other side. Just used my fingers on the side that is in. Plus to Whiteline is that they are self-lubricating bushings. I d...

Re: Getting Control Arms Back In!
Yeah they were very very tight. Got one side in so tomorrow will go after the other side. Not much wisdom to pass on here...going to use even more lube on the other sides. That and a jack and a big rubber mallet was what I used. Tired now!

Getting Control Arms Back In!
Okay newbie when it comes to the rear suspension and have decided to take on the challenge of doing a new CV kit install along with new control arm bushings and R31 rear brakes. Got out the control arms and put in new Whiteline poly bushings. Went to put them back and WOW is everything super tight. ...

Header and Intake | Too Close?
Test fitting the header and intake before the engine goes into the car. Intake is a Datsun Comp copy which has been given an angle grid by Rebello already as it was touching the header on the dyno. With my new comp header is was still touching so I ground back some of the intake and gave the header ...

Re: The Red Baron
All I know is that everyone I talked to before having Rebello build the motor said basically the same thing. TRUST DAVE! Dave Rebello is the owner and has more knowledge in his pinky than I will ever accumulate in my life. He builds every motor for Troy Ermish and many other race cars that are consi...

Re: The Red Baron
It was on California 91 with no booster. Compression ended up being 10.3:1. Expecting a 20% drivetrain loss and will chassis dyno that later to confirm.

Re: The Red Baron
Same motor (2360cc) made 190hp to the wheels which is very close to what your motor made. We'll see what mine does at the crank. Planning on doing a chassis dyno later this year.

Re: The Red Baron
More slow progress...getting the header from Ermish racing and had it coated with a high-temp ceramic coating at a local shop. Before the coating went on I had a buddy weld on a V-band in preparation for the full exhaust to be built in the future. Good news is my engine is actually going to be dynoe...
