Nice looking project. The area behind the grill was body colour. Yellow zinc for the other pieces. I am not positive on the Zinc but I am sure someone will chime in.

Hey Rush, that is about the same procedure that I did. It definitely was not fun!

That is the piece that broke on mine last summer. I think driving with the quarter window open is what caused it to break. Luckily I had a spare. The hardest part for me was getting the pin that joined the two pieces together. I won’t drive with it open anymore because I don’t have a spare anymore.

Hey Keith,I too remember the old rabbit ears. It was my job to wiggle them and move the tin foil on them. I was going to take the 510 out today but for some reason they brined the roads out here this morning. I don’t see why because it hasn’t even froze here yet.

That’s a bummer Rush. I am sure that with your skills you can fix it. For some reason I can’t see your pics but I am assuming that you used the 5 gallon pail ,a piece of coat hanger and a pop can smeared with peanut butter. I have used that before and it works great!
