Re: New Apex Engineered rear suspension

Well, the order went in so I guess we’ll see what happens! Are you happy with what you ordered? They have a Black Friday (10% off) sale on right now and I am thinking about pulling the trigger on front and rear suspension kits. Would love to know your experience and see some pictures! I spoke to th...

Looking forward to the post on the Painless wiring harness... not something I have tackled yet, but I am aware of the challenges navigating this issue.

Good progress and excellent work - congratulations.

Glad to hear it's starting to warm up in the Netherlands... I'm going to Amsterdam in early April and hoping to spend a little extra time there.

Re: Finally starting the restore

I've got a daunting project in front of me as well... set expectations accordingly and just keep plugging away is my strategy. I know there will be setbacks and life will get in the way. I'll try not to get discouraged.

Post some pictures! Where are you located?

Re: New member Dan from Victoria.

I was away on vacation and missed this post... Welcome to the Realm and happy to know that another 510 will be running in the area soon. In my experience over the last couple of years, there aren't many around but hoping to see more once the car shows restart this summer!

What are your plans for bushing. The stock rubber ones can be hard to source. And poly was too harsh for me. I went back to stock. They can be removed without a torch with the right tool. But too late to lend you that. Dpracing sells sperical bearings. I assume they are harsh as well. Hmm... I boug...

Powder Coated Rear Trailing Arms

I decided to outsource the removal of the bushings... $40 cash to a local suspension guy was worth it X2. They've got the big torch and don't mind some burning rubber around their shop  I took out the seals and bearings, which wasn't easy but didn't go too badly. I dropped them off at Island ...

Re: Finally got my 510!

Definitely a bit of thread jacking here... but the topic has meandered to Studebakers... Here are mine: Restored to original factory specs... 1964 Studebaker Commander, 289 V8 with original 4 speed: Studebaker Commander Small.jpg And a tribute build 1964 Studebaker Daytona R2 (was originally a 6 cyl...
