Re: New San Francisco Bay Area member
YES..Welcome to the site! There is over 20+ years here of good, solid information to be found here. I would suggest start with reading the suspension thread, that will give you an idea of what people are running, etc.. https://www.the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?t=1067 Be honest with what you want the...

Re: 72 2 Door 510 Restoration-25 years in the making
I would have sent you one of my Re-Pops I had made no problem.
I had a bunch of engine bay tags made up many years ago, as so many of us had ones that were quite corroded.
Glad you found it, that was crazy it was there, good on you!

Re: LED H4 bulbs
Thanks for that link Norm! I have now a few companies in Canada that have my tires. This morning I have seen the we are placing a 25% tariff on both passenger car tires..AND race tires, so in no way will I be supporting the Excited States!!! in any way shape or form. So sad! Our dollar bounced off ....

Re: And it's back!
No Worries...It is nice to know that one is not alone in this journey of technological mayhem. I have been fighting Google TV...when I Chromecast to my TV from my tablet, it will play the movie for 8 minutes and then dump me off..plays ok on the tablet. I have rebooted/updated/cursed at EVERYTHING.....

Re: And it's back!
That has been a common problem for sure, you are not alone. I too have to hit the refresh a few times to get the spinnarama going, and then maybe in a minute or two the site loads. Sometimes I just click out of the net, then come back and try again. Then, this morning, the site loaded in a heart bea...

Re: LED H4 bulbs
Thanks Norm, I remember when you did that. In the next week or so, I am going to did out my "lighting" box to refresh myself on the lenses that Byron and I got. I have found a company here that has had some bulbs made up, so when I next drive the car in the spring, they have offered for me...

Re: LED H4 bulbs
Jeez, sorry I stirred things up...... What I have, are Eurpean BMW lenses, sold to Byron and I from Danile Stern lighting. Supposedly with a very precise focused lense, not like the crap we get in North America, They of course were desigend for an incandescent bulb. I was just wondering if any one h...

LED H4 bulbs
I am hoping for a broader comment, if possible ( I know Chad did one a few years ago) of any practical experience with LED H4/9003 bulbs...plug and play??!! I had embarked on a headlight upgrade a decade ago, got lost in time I never did it. I know Byron did as we had done a group buy. I'm at a poin...

Re: California Fires
Funny you should say that! My wife and I were sitting yesterday morning, watching the news, and it was just pissing rain out! Humidity was 95%. I said Jeez, how bizarre we have so much rain and they have not had a drop. At least at the moment our snow pack is building, so hopefully that will help wi...

Re: California Fires
Morning Chad, Thank you so much for these words, could NOT have been better said!!!! I hope all that read this take note of your sage, life altering experience. As climate and disaster, in many forms, can lurk anywhere at any time, heed needs to be paid to what you have said for sure. B.C. had had i...

California Fires
Watching the news this morning...Holy Cow!
I hope all our American/Californians will be ok and safe through this disaster.
Strangely, I watched a documentary last night on the Lahaina fire and how fast it went with the winds.
Then I get up this morning and see this.

THEN...when you think it is done....pour a nice coffee and go a round and check EVERY nut, bolt, clamp, screw, etc..
that all are tight and ready to go. It's funny how that one "little" thing can get missed.

Re: Am I in over my head? '70 2 door from scratch
I can relate.... One year, at Knox, I had my trunk open right before my time to run, 1st run of the day. As it was cool, I had my jacket on over my fire suit. I stupidly had my keys in the jacket pocket and in my haste to make it to pre-grid, I took my jacket off and threw it in the trunk...and clos...

Re: TELEGRAPH COVE FIRE
Yes, for sure, that will be in the millions I think. I do wonder if they had insurance across the whole works, the Graham family has owned that for a long time and would have been aware of the risks. As I said, my Dad was with a major insurance company, and he was sent to to access "risk" ...

Re: TELEGRAPH COVE FIRE
They have no idea yet, will be a tough one. The "Cove" as the functional part on the CDN side was closed at the end of October, so there should have been nothing going on. The hot spot to me looks to have been in the middle, which is where the restaurant kitchen would have been. That being...
