2020 510 day -- vancouver- ?

so for whatever reason i was thinking of 510 day yesterday -- with the "stuff" going on in the world i highly doubt that Byrons is a feasible option in 5 weeks..

so IF there is interest - it happens to be a sunday- at work we have a good 100 paved parking spots that are generally empty all weekend- im one of the few who come to work on weekends here.

could easily park 2 parking spots apart and have our 6+ feet of social distancing.. its also relatively central as its 192 and hwy 10 surrey--

any interest ?

I was thinking much the same thing, same as a potential drive in some ways.

I would be interested if weather was good. I'm hoping I have no problem getting my 510 insurance...

Yea a drive along 8th ave to 272.. cheap gas then to chilliwack then maybe the back way from whatever that bridge is past the mission one back towards MR?

I hadn’t pulled the plug on 510 Day - obviously if we are all we go gather, it’s be a great opportunity to get rolling again.
But under the current climate, even my optimism is getting g a little squashed. The current health order in BC is no gathering through May 30th.
No doubt we’ll do a BBQ when it’s safe to do so, for now we’ll just have to play it by ear.

On the news last night they showed a group of friends, just like us, having basically a tail gate party in a big parking lot, in a circle, 12 feet apart, talking.

We will not be unique in this, could almost accomplish this, like the Cars & Coffee meets.

We all should be aware of a potential time factor for getting insurance, specially for our 510's. If i'm out this week I will cruise by my local provider to see if the store front is open or not.

Anyone gotten insurance lately in the last 2 weeks? Glad my main two vehicles are good for a year right now.

I renewed mine last week. I just had to call my insurance company and they did it over the phone with a few emails. Took me 10 min. Faster than actually going in.

stopped by my storage unit today, office is closed and there is a big rental truck parked right in front of my unit. the girls know to leave my unit clear of trucks. hopefully they get my message i left them to kindly move it.

I know my mother’s insurance ran out last week, London Drugs is open and business as usual - just standing back a little further from the counter.
