Hello my names Dan and I live in Victoria B.C. I have been wrenching on 510’s now for 30 years. I have owned my 68 for about 25 years and it’s been in storage and off the road for the last 20. So after 20 years I figured it was about time for a few rebuild adventures and a few modifications. On the list is rebuilding the carbs, rebuilding the front brakes, brake / clutch cylinders, rebuilding and mounting up some new(er) rear disk brakes, rebuild the steering, bushings and bearings etc. etc. The interior needs some upholstery work, I have a 68 SSS dash cluster to install, and I’m thinking if about fabricating a bias pedal box. I’m also kicking around the idea of shaving the rear door inner sheet metal to help de-camber the rear a bit. I have another 50 things on the list list but I think the first 50 should keep me busy till end of days… and it would be nice to drive the car at some point. I have been enjoying the510realm for years, thought it was time to join and say hello.

Welcome. That's a great looking '68. Nice to see another person from the island on here. Sounds like you've got a good list of upgrades to come. Keep us posted on your progress.

I've got a '72 two door that I've owned for the past 8 years and only driven twice. I started out with plans to just do some major servicing and then I fell down the rabbit hole. Over the years I've had many ups and downs and have suffered from significant periods of a lack of motivation, but I've recently got back on that horse and hope to attempt to bring the car back to life soon.

I was away on vacation and missed this post... Welcome to the Realm and happy to know that another 510 will be running in the area soon. In my experience over the last couple of years, there aren't many around but hoping to see more once the car shows restart this summer!
