OCTOBERFAST 2021
Re: OCTOBERFAST 2021
Hey Keith - is your 510 an original 510 colour code? I found the colour code stamp on this new car I bought - 664 so thinking I might do that seeing as I hadn't really landed on a colour that I'm particularly set on and I definitely want to go with an original 510 colour code.

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2021
Yes, my car is factory red, last painted in winter of 1983/84 after my big OOPS at Westwood.
In hindsight, when I built the car in 1977/78, I really wish I had done the "full frame" clean and paint. I was on such a tear for my racing, I never projected into the future, as to how long I would end up with this car.
Who would have thought?! Oh well, it is what it is and it has NEVER been a trailer queen.

Re: OCTOBERFAST 2021
Completely understand the minor regret for not doing the full frame clean... I have similar regrets with a 1964 Studebaker that I restored and it basically looks like it did in the showroom, except when you look underneath it.
As I dig into this new project, a lot of work has been done to prep the body and suspension for the build. I don't need to think very much about painting the car, but planning what I do in the engine bay, wheel wells and under the car is going to require some thoughtfulness as it really is a clean slate that I want to take advantage of.
