510 Realm experts—- Anyone that has done an SR swap with the JBC R&P setup - do you have a recommended fitting for the turbo oil drain on the block side? No clearance in this area with the R&P knuckle in the way.
Ultimately this will need to be on a swivel fitting with an AN10 On the turbo drain hose. Looking to order the right part.
Anyone know if the threads in the block are NPT, BSPP, or BSPT? Have found conflicting information on the Internet.
Want to get this sorted without a tap and die . Any help is appreciated !
Old and new fittings for comparison:
Original fitting - way too long — just for comparison - can’t engage threads due to interference
New AN10 fitting better but needs 90 or banjo fitting to clear

I just take the stock drain and cut it and weld it back together with a 45 in it. I'll see if I can find a picture. Just mark the top before you unscrew it.

Icehouse, thanks for the feedback - that would be feasible and had connected with someone else who did this; but my turbo hoses have AN fittings. I could put a small hose with a fitting to go to AN if I go this route.
I did find a part that “might” work — 90 degree swivel 1/2 NPT to 10AN - but will depend on the clearance to the elbow once screwed into the block. I don’t have the exact dimensions of this but going order it; this might just clear the knuckle. Stay tuned…
The part is from Fragola Performance Systems - FPS - they have many automotive plumbing fittings/hose ends etc. They don’t sell to the public bud did find them on Amazon and at Summit.

Weld on an aluminum fitting to shorten how far it extends?
That fitting you show above may work since it's the forged shape and short radius. I have used that type (-8) for valve cover outlets on L-series.
I can't speak to whether BSPT as I have no experience with the SR, but it most likely is. To get an NPT In there you will need to retap the hole. NPT won't want to thread in there very far.
