Rear LCA cantilever ratio?

Post by datzenmike »

Memory is failing me more and more every day. As the rear coil spring is not over the rear wheel but forward of it on the lower control arm it has to be stiffer to compensate for the leverage. In order to have a 100 pound per inch spring rate at the axle what do you multiply it by to get the correct spring rate? I thought it was 2.8 but am told it's 3.8. I just want to get it right.
