...and U.P. restored engine 4014. I can't imagine the cost to do that. Cool they did it, but I.5 million pounds weight and who knows how many millions to complete the restoration.

Re: moar good videos :P
Seeing as how only 5 or 6 of us heathens acknowledged Christmas and not 1 Happy New Year (maybe speaks to the sentiment in the World), time to bump that thread away.
This is not auto related, no million HP engines or another drifting video of naturally aspirated vs another electric something, this is a snap shot of our wonderful Province.
it's just a quick video of when Matt and I went to explore that little known suspension bridge. Many years ago when Matt...and it was Matt, did our driving video's, it was a lesson in futility at the time of so many different video formats, I threw in the towel. I finally sat down with this video, was able to trim it a bit and threw a token title on.I feel like Cecil B. DeMille.
This summer, should we ever have this winter end, I would not mind taking a small group back there and hike in again, maybe not in the 510's, not sure how comfortable I would be leaving such nice hardware parked along a highway.
Matt does swing around towards the end and scan the river, up and down. That wind is so strong, video does not really show it, but, there is a reason I keep my arm on the cable. Hope you enjoy.

If you like what these guys can build from scratch, starting with a clean sheet of paper, you aught to see what these two can do when given the constraints of an 80 year old block and still make it work - even when the organization your running in is trying everything they can do - to stop them…510rob wrote: ↑10 Dec 2021 20:07 The Story Behind Pete Aardema and Kevin Braun's 920 HP - V12 Engine ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP5213NlQog

So crazy! I mean I would just push that old engine into the river and go to pick and pull and get a K24 Honda engine but that's just me. different strokes for different folks. I love watching them be silly though haha.

It’s all about staying in class rules. In this case, these guys were shooting for the fastest model A engine.icehouse wrote: ↑03 Feb 2022 19:54 So crazy! I love the clamp around the block - to hold it together! That’s awesome.
-Then building a 3 main block into a 5 main..
- The bit about shorting the block by an inch…
And then being outlawed and saying - screw you, there’s more than one way to…!
It’s and awesome story, was fun to watch for sure.

Re: moar good videos :P
Agreed, there are some Frankenstein engines out there. The Cleavland head sections on a 300 inline 6 is definitely one of them. But here is a more mainstream option my father sent me a year ago. As a machinist, this stuff just is right up my alley.
Rob, thanks for making it a available to us. It’s just cool.

Quite the crossection of cars.

I like seeing the old Chrysler products in that wild mix of contraptions.
Re: moar good videos :P
going back to the crazy home-made engines, I found some old pictures of a V12 Buick that a friend put together years ago...
